hmm everyone countered the op on everything but I have to catch the op on the rit=necro and sin=warrior my god NOOB ALEEERRRT. Rit is it's own class buddy boy it's a mix of monk, necro, and ranger you might be able to throw a little ele in there, so you could also say rit=monk or rit=ranger but those would still be dumb things to say, no two classes can compare to eachother.
Sin=warrior? Don't even get me started, Sin=spiking warrior=tanking/dps over a long time. Stop comparing the two, there is no comparison.
oh and reality check, the core classes, necro, ele, ranger, monk, warrior, mesmer are THE most basic class types in RPG's around, you can relate any class Anet pumps out to them in some way shape or fashion.

Do we need 3 things that pop-up in one zone, sometimes at the same time?
Seems like sloppy shoe-horned challenge to me.
I enjoyed running a quest once where I had to handle Dredge - and Wardens, Onis, and Luxons popped up too. ggty4dpanet
It's another reason I could never see charting the whole place (particularly that dang quest) either. It seems they went sick with mob #s, again rather than designing challenges. VSquare is a classic example - mass afflicted and their explosions and random pug/henchy team combo - yeah, good move.

Apples and Oranges, almost
Asking whether Factions or Prophecies is rather like comaring apples and oranges. While they may be related games, they're sufficiently different.
Prophecies=lonnnnnngggggg (if you play it through) OR very short if you shortcut and get yourself run everywhere.
Fations=you level faster, yes, but you have to do the quests in order since one unlocks the next. I.e. no running to mission sites .
I liked Prophecies much better before the runners and the lazy-asses seemed to take over most spots. Farmers don't bother me much (I only garden for crafting materials).
Factions holds more challenge, in my opinion.
Skills and gameplay still need anti-bug work, but it is a dynamic game, get over it.

Prophecies was a completely different game than Factions. You can see that Prophecies was a well cooked story whereas Factions was just rushed out the door. Voice acting in Factions is horrible when compared to Prophecies (even though Prophecies voice acting wasn't that good). Story and character arches were much better developed than in Factions.
The seer speed of leveling in Factions destroys the connection you feel between you and your character (ie, I rarely play the characters I've created in Factions now that I've moved over my old characters from Prophecies).
Also, Prophecies is way more open then the dungeon crawling spaces in Faction. The only place in Factions which I feel parallels Prophecies is right outside of maatu keep, the grasslands, and the jade sea.
Furthermore, the map in Factions is completely useless at parts such as Kaneing center, around the Arborstone/House Zu Heltzer area. I would run into walls when I thought the map was showing a passageway.
Factions should've remained in production for MUCH longer than released. With this said, I don't see much improvement in future expansion packs as they are now going to be released in 6 month periods.
I would rate Prophecies as 8/10, Factions as 6/10.

Both games are MMORPG, so therefore they are in the same category, however gameplay is different, and 1 has to have better gameplay. Thats is why I ask you which is better FacTions or ProPheCies.
Another thing I like about Factions is that the names are actually chinese names, I think thats really awesome considering myself to be asian. Also I have to say this alliance battle is really good, you form any type of group and you can expect to earn something, rather than creating 10 different HA group and not winning a single dime worth of faction or fame. PvP style I'm refering to is when theres a 2 monks (in 8 man group), a warrior or assassins, elementals, ranger, basically group that you find in HA before you enter the real fights, except weaker, and I am no big fan of facing thousands of those types of groups in PvE, I dont mind it in PvP, but comon its PvE, dont need to envolve any PvP strategies in PvE, PvE is for fun and enjoyment not for getting fustrated and saying ----, a thousand times, I'm sure everyone has done that before.

so its safe to compare auto assault and gw? two different types of MMOs? Just because a game is playable online doesn't mean you can compare it.
